Along with Polestar Performance Parts, the Swedish are getting back to a similar concept to the one in Munich with the catalogue of M Performance of spare parts designed to improve the car.
Volvo, Polestar and the competition team of Cyan Racing concerted to produce a line of parts in different types to improve the performance and the conduct of Volvo products. For twenty years of experience in the world of competition, the engineers of Polestar and Cyan Racing has developed all the parts of the Polestar Performance Parts department based on the “made to perform” philosophy.
At this moment, Polestar Performance Parts program is limited to XC60, V60, V40 and S60, however other versions will be included later on. We can find in the catalogue some aesthetic elements such as spoilers, car body, diffuser, exhaust system, stickers, gear shift lever and sports pedals.
Polestar has more interest in elements other than the common tuning. “The secret of our success in this field lies in the creation of well balanced cars, easy to control for the driver in every situation. What we have learned on the trail is directly transferred in our road cars” said Henrik Fries, the director of research and development. There is a specified combined shock absorbers, strut bars, wheel rims and sport air filter.
Let’s hope that Polestar’s coming back will continue to grow and the Polestar versions of Volvo series won’t just settle for these accessories.
