Autodis Group wants to sell its Polish subsidiary 2017-05-26
The distributor of auto parts and trucks Autodis Group announced Friday a plan to sell its Polish subsidiary AD Poland to the Italian Rhiag Group, the amount was not disclosed, to better focus on Western Europe.
Rhiag Group, a subsidiary of the American company LKQ Corporation, specializes in the sale of spare parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
The company, which achieved in 2016 a turnover of 113 million Euros, operates in nine European countries, including much of Eastern Europe and has 774 employees.
Through this plan of sale, Autodis Group intends to create "a powerful and coherent group in Western Europe from the French market", he said in a statement.
AD Poland, for its part, "will now be able to envisage a new stage of its development" by being supported by Rhiag Group, "an actor with ambitions displayed in Eastern Europe", added Autodis Group. "The sale will be effective after receiving permission from the authorities.
Autodis Group manages the first French network of independent garages and bodies (2,000 companies) under the AD brand. Held by Bain Capital in 2015, the group achieved a turnover of 1.28 billion euros in 2016 for a net profit of 46.8 million euros.
